Propertymark One was a fantastic event! Over 1500 delegates and it was wonderful to reconnect with industry colleagues, both current and from years past, at the Excel Centre. The insights gained from the discussions through the day were invaluable. I had the privilege to contribute to the housing crisis panel, to represent, champion & emphasise how (build to rent ) can significantly impact quality housing provision at scale if we eliminate existing barriers.

Key priorities highlighted:

- Planning Reform
- Clarity on the Building Safety Act & cladding remediation funding
- Tailoring Selective Licensing instead of adopting a one-size-fits-all approach which costs BTR
- Steering clear of rent control
- Working with local authorities to ensure their requirements to provide social housing is not placed soley into BTR schemes to absorb.
- Promoting and incentivising investment for rapid scalability

Could be exciting times ahead if we get listened to and as we work together towards overcoming challenges and creating a more sustainable housing future.
Great to see such dedication and passion in the industry.
