Change to second home tax you need to know from April 2023 ‼️

The government has advised that properties will only be assessed for business rates (instead of council tax) if they can provide evidence of the following:

* The property is available for commercial let, for a minimum of 140 days in the coming year (self-catering accommodation only)

* The property has previously been available for commercial let, as self-catering accommodation for short periods for a minimum of 140 days in the previous year

Central London has seen the third largest boost to buy-to-let portfolio sizes, with a 43% increase.
