There are more homes for sale in Essex right now than at any point in eight years.

Great news if you're buying — more choice, more room to negotiate, less pressure to rush. If you're selling, it means one thing: your home isn't competing against three others any more. It's competing against thirty.

The North London market has softened a touch this year. Average prices down around 4%, and with the Bank of England holding rates at 3.75%, buyers are taking their time. None of which is bad news if your home is priced and presented properly from day one.
