A specialist creative social enterprise retail hub in the heart of Peckham.

Celebrating Afro-Caribbean/Black diaspora beauty and wellness culture and supporting small and independent entrepreneurs in this community. The Palms exists to protect and elevate Black hair, beauty, wellness creative entrepreneurs, and our local salons and barbers serving as a vital part of the London high street and nightlife economy, and building on Peckham’s reputation as both the centre of London’s creative community and a long standing destination for a quality affordable beauty and personal grooming. The Palms in Peckham was conceived in 2015 in response to the loss of trading space for hair and beauty businesses in Peckham Town Centre. The Palms at Peckham will house:

- New retail spaces for local independent hair & beauty businesses
- Food, drink and childcare facilities
- Affordable Salon Chairs for hire
- A new community space for residents of the Atwell Estate
- A covered events space for markets, launch events and community use
- Palms trees and plant sales.
- An improved and secure access land for deliveries to businesses on Rye Lane

Just as palm trees offer shade on a hot summers day, The Palms will shelter new salon businesses from the heat of the London property market and help them to thrive and grow.
