Nationally the market is soft. Rightmove recorded the largest August fall in new seller asking prices for eight years, with homes for sale at a twelve year high. Nationwide put annual growth at 1.6 per cent, and Zoopla has annual growth at 1.4 per cent and slowing towards one per cent by the year end, with London and the South East expected to see flat prices or modest falls while northern regions hold up better.
BUT
The encouraging part is that the market works for those who meet it. Fall throughs are 28.6 per cent below the historic average, withdrawals are at a six year low, and a correctly priced home will find its buyer and complete.
