It was a total honour to partner with last week for the launch of ‘Richer Than’ - a very special exhibition by artist in aid of the incredible
Bold and subversive, the collection of 50 original pieces of art provokes questions about poverty, wealth and social contribution. Each piece incorporates an iconic image of the Queen, interspersed with a diverse range of perspectives on wealth contributed by people from all walks of life.
We chose to host the event at the Roots in the Sky development site because we want this project to reinvent how the development lifecycle is perceived and how it can be a true vehicle for change in our communities. Our role is to create amazing, sustainable, pioneering places, and we can only do that by taking everybody on the journey with us, not just the privileged few.
Once complete, Roots in the Sky will host London’s first rooftop Urban Forest – 1.3 aces of it. And, we’re putting the community first with unprecedented community space – potting sheds, allotment plots, seedbanks and a community barn – all of which will be community-owned, in the most valuable part of the building, with the best views across London.
It’s all about collaborative working of course – and we see this sort of partnership, with incredible organisations and creatives like and , as absolutely key.
