GOOD HOMES FOR GOOD PEOPLE
In August, The Ethical Landlord Initiative exchanged and completed on a freehold terraced house on the Kent Coast. The local authority’s housing options team, with whom we work in close partnership, asked us to consider an alternative tenancy structure based on their most pressing need for homeless families.
We agreed and tenanted the property in September, thereby solving homelessness one family at a time at a grass roots solution level and providing brilliant returns for our investors.
Our projected ROI (cash return on cash invested per annum) was just under 10%. Through being a partner with council and listening to what they need and helping them meet that need our projected ROI jumped to 18%.
