What goes on behind the scenes of a building, and why is it so important?

In the second part of our conversation with Karl Bradley, Director of Facilities Management at Ringley Group, we explore his vision for the future of facilities management and the importance of helping residents and property owners better understand the buildings they live in.

From fire safety systems and sprinklers to heating and ventilation, much of what keeps a building safe and operational goes unseen, yet plays a vital role in everyday life.

Karl shares his ambition to bridge this knowledge gap through education, webinars and more comprehensive technical building audits, helping property owners understand not just what they’re paying for, but why these systems matter.

It’s about making technical property management more transparent, accessible and easier to understand.

Catching up with Elizabeth Whitehead, Director of Leasing at UNA, to talk about some rather exciting news…

UNA has been nominated for 𝐭𝐑𝐫𝐞𝐞 π‹π¨π―πž 𝐭𝐨 π‘πžπ§π­ π€π°πšπ«ππ¬ this October, recognising the work being done across resident retention, leasing and technology.

For Elizabeth, there’s one nomination that feels particularly special.

With more than £𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐒π₯π₯𝐒𝐨𝐧 invested in technology across the business, creating smarter, more connected systems has become an important part of how UNA supports its clients and residents.

And for a growing Build to Rent operator, being recognised alongside others in the industry makes the nominations even more meaningful.

So, what does Elizabeth actually do?

In her words, it’s quite simple.

β€œFill our buildings as quickly as possible, with the right residents, and make sure they want to stay.”

Of course, there’s a little more to it than that!

Over the coming weeks, we’re putting the people behind UNA front and centre. We’ll be talking about what they do, the teams around them, the services we provide and sharing some of their insights into the industry.
