Today we had the wonderful Courtney from The Entertainment Provider hosting her Viva Las Vegas Show.

We went through all the eras, different musicals and West End productions.

The residents knew most of the songs to sing along to and Courtney tested their knowledge and was surprised at how much they knew.

We look forward to welcoming Courtney back in December for her Holly Jolly Christmas show. This is all thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and all its players

Looking back over the past year on all the activities we have managed to enjoy here at Dymond House thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund and all its players. We have had singers, animal therapy, arts and crafts, theatre companies, intergenerational music and so much more.

Today at Dymond House we've been busy. We started the morning with seated yoga which was a hit with all the residents, followed by spaghetti bolognaise and trifle for lunch.

Dymond House had a session of Drama Therapy today. The session was based on a story The Mermaid of the North. Adri told the story which captured the imaginations of the residents.

All the residents enjoyed the small warm up session of some gentle exercises, the show and tell of a selected item out the box as well as a balloon and parachute game. This is all thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and all its players

Our local church invited us down today for a garden tea party and it exceeded all expectations.

We sat in the beautiful garden of the vicarage and served a selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and teas and coffees.

After lunch we had a sing along and played bingo. It was truly a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by everyone.

We have been busy at Dymond House this week with a visit from Alana at IMM Music aswell as Mthr Berni from our local church.

After these lovely events the residents have been enjoying time in the garden with this beautiful weather.

Tuesday we spent the day in the garden. We rounded up all the pots and re-potted them with the residents. Some of our residents have offered to very kindly look after them.

We have had a delivery of new garden furniture which is standing proudly in the garden ready for the residents to use this summer, the ping pong table was a huge success.

Today we welcomed Spare Tyre Theatre Company into Dymond House. A theatre company that creates and tours shows for older people living in care settings.

Whistle Stop is a play without words, set on a train. The story follows people travelling across different countries and time periods.

Every resident was completely captivated by the production and we look forward to having them back soon. This is thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and all its players

Today we had local historian Simon in after lunch club who gave a presentation on 'Holidaying in the 50/60's'

Simon had a case full of memorabilia which sparked lots of memories and conversation amongst the resident. This is thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and all its players
