When a landlord sells, it affects more than a property portfolio. It can mean someone having to leave the place they call home.
Through rent-to-rent, we created and professionally managed shared homes with care, structure and attention to detail. But however well a home is managed, its long-term future remains in the property owner’s hands.
A former resident recently told us:
“For some people, these house-share rooms are the only thing preventing them from becoming homeless.”
Their words stayed with us. They recognised the care put into the homes, the communication and the support offered when shared living became difficult.
Rent-to-rent remains a valuable strategy, but this experience has strengthened our decision to build an owned portfolio alongside it—giving us greater control and helping us create more long-term stability for residents.
