Received today from R&R representative concerning the food truck outside Omega 4.
Thank you for your communication and apologies you have not received a reply sooner.
I am not sure if you have had a reply from my colleagues.
I have joined the team recently and know we have been working in the background to resolve this issue.
Lily initially asked assistance from the council as well as the fire brigade in getting the vehicle to move to no avail.
We have spoken to the truck directly and they have not complied.
They have been served notice and not moved so it has been escalated by the solicitor who is dealing with it.
It is a very complicated situation legally, due to the property involved but we cannot give all info publicly due to data protection.
In the meantime, we are having a bollard installed next week, which unfortunately was the earliest date available, we have been waiting for a cancellation so that we may be booked in earlier but unfortunately that has not happened.
We have been doing everything possible as we are just as concerned as yourselves, they have even been advised that we need free access to the plant room and need access for a cherry picker so we can access to fix a leak in the building.
So there is much urgency in getting these people out of the car park as well as out of our building.
These unfortunately are not very easy people to deal.
Hopefully this situation is coming to an end now as I believe they are moving out as well as taking their truck with them.
I can only regret that this has gone on for so long, and I can only speak for the period I have been here.
Please rest assured that I am trying my best to get Omega 4 back to standard.
Wishing you a great rest of the week.
Kind regards,
Monica Strydom
