Interesting to see healthcare real estate coming in second in the 2024 Knight Frank Wealth Report.

The report notes that investors are attracted to the strong rental growth prospects and the counter cyclical nature of the sector. However demand does not always convert into transactions due to the specialist management and operational expertise required for these assets.

Having invested in healthcare for over a decade, we would agree that specialist management is essential. For us, understanding the operations of the underlying business is as important, if not more important, than the real estate itself.

Real estate is fundamental to the delivery of quality healthcare services, it would be great to see investor demand converting to more funding in this space.
