An ‘enfilade’ is an architectural suite of rooms with doorways aligned on axis, creating an unobstructed view through the spaces. Thresholds are lined with oak pocket doors.

The brief referenced airy Majorcan villas for inspiration. Utzon’s Can Lis house became a key precedent and we sought to achieve a purity to the design with material restraint and craft using natural clay plaster, oak and principally the low carbon limestone brick.

The project included renovating the grand front rooms, one painted monolithic pink, one blue, and the front hallway. The existing cellar was lowered to form a state of the art cinema room, with dark oak acoustic cladding and blue Togo sofas.
