Start with your monthly budget, not the asking price.

You’re only borrowing against the share you buy, not the whole home.

Little and often beats waiting for a bigger sum!
Consider saving between 5% to 10% of the price of the home you are aiming for, and consider at least a few thousand pounds in extra costs and fees.

There is no fixed minimum with Shared Ownership, it depends on the property and your outgoings.
There is a maximum household income cap though:
-£90,000 a year inside London
-£80,000 a year in the rest of the UK

Ask early, most lenders are fine with it.
