When landlords prepare for a viewing, most attention goes to the kitchen, bathroom and living room. They're important, of course—but prospective tenants start forming an opinion long before they step inside.
The walk from the street to the front door tells its own story. Overflowing bins, an untidy entrance or poor lighting can make a property feel neglected before a single room has been seen.
On the other hand, a clean entrance, working lights and a well-presented exterior immediately create confidence that the property has been looked after.
At Oliver Suites, we encourage landlords to view the property as a tenant would. Sometimes, the smallest details outside the home make the biggest difference to what happens inside it.
