Hello 👋🏼 It's been a minute. While I've been quiet on the socials the property work has continued.

Since I posted last it's been a super speedy, turbulent rollercoaster, to say the least. Some of the experiences include:

😊 Completing the construction on all but one of my 10 sites.

😊 The sale of 85 residential and commercial properties. 85 down, 27 to go.

😫 A non-paying local authority tenant with a total loss of about £30,000.

😫 Falling out with a main contractor and some rather dodgy professionals.

Each one of these experiences has given me so much, well, experience on both what TO do and definitely what NOT to do. So many in property only share when things are going well. They're either too green to have experienced a downturn (yet) or are not being entirely truthful.

We won! 💫 Best boutique property developer, United Kingdom.

Thank you to whoever nominated us. I had no idea until I had a call over summer to say we had been nominated and the judges had requested more information. I sent over some of the projects we had completed in Hackney such as Graham Road, Lenthall Road and Parkholme Road. Then yesterday the winners were announced and we won! 🏆

While we’ve had our struggles (nsbremner has been very open about them) we are so proud of the homes we created in the Hackney area over the last decade. It’s a good reminder that even though there are challenges in all businesses, there are reasons to celebrate too.

We’re excited to be working on a few more things behind the scenes and will have some beautiful new schemes to show you soon. Thank you for following our journey 🙏🏼🏗

Getting the balance right between light and privacy is incredibly important. On this project we were lucky that the garden wasn’t overlooked so the windows at the back in the new extension could be as large as possible.

We saved tens of thousands by importing the windows from Poland through a contact of my builder. Sadly something that probably wouldn’t be possible now.

I just loved the white on white with light flooring and nearly black windows. It’s striking and elegant and clearly buyers thought so too.

How important is custom joinery in a project? Very, we think.

Storage for stuff is an important part of a home. Buying off the shelf storage solutions often look cheap and flimsy. This custom shelving was all made from MDF and yet has lifted this reception room.

Clever staging, by of , made it a statement and a huge selling point.

Also consider using a contrasting colour to really make a feature of your joinery.

Thanks to João for the styling, for the images, for designing the joinery and for selling these flats in two days. Hey, it was easy back in the day!

We’re back! It’s been a while since we posted but now we’re back and providing you with more property inspiration 💫

This week we’re going to share one of our beautiful developments from 2016, Graham Road, Hackney.

This was our first house to flats conversion. Founder wanted something crisp and clean that the new owners would want to add their own touches too.

With the help of Amita Mahindroo we carved out three generous flats into this four levelled house and added a garden room too. I’m sure the owners are using that a lot in lockdown!

Two apartments sold within 2 hours of listing and the final one within 2 days with . The good old days! 😅
