An unforgettable evening at the Home of Cricket 🏏

Last night, representatives from Regal Estates were honoured to attend An Evening with Sir Andrew Strauss & Friends at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, in support of the incredible work of the Ruth Strauss Foundation ❤️

Hosted within the world-renowned Long Room - one of the most prestigious and historic spaces in world sport, where cricketing legends, dignitaries and members have gathered for generations -  the evening brought together some of the most respected names in the game for a truly memorable occasion. ✨

Guests were treated to inspiring speeches from England cricket legends Sir Andrew Strauss, Mike Gatting OBE, and former England and Middlesex player Angus Fraser MBE, alongside a charity auction supporting the Foundation's vital work for families facing the challenges of terminal illness.

And yes... we were delighted to secure a few auctions wins along the way 😉🏆. The auction was led by David Nash, Founder of the Echelon Group.

As a business deeply rooted in Northwest London, supporting cricket and the communities it serves remains close to our hearts.

84% of landlords aren’t ready for the Renters’ Rights Act… are you?

Recent data shows that of nearly 400 landlords assessed, the average compliance score was just 38%, with 84% falling into at-risk or high-risk categories. Even more concerning, only 16% were considered mostly compliant, while 58% were classed as high risk.

With new legislation set to reshape the rental sector from 2026, many landlords are still unclear on what’s changing and how it will impact them.

The Renters’ Rights Act introduces major reforms, including the abolition of Section 21 ‘no-fault’ evictions, a shift to periodic tenancies, and increased legal and compliance responsibilities.

Crucially, the burden of proof is changing. It’s no longer enough to say you’ve met your obligations, you must be able to demonstrate it with clear, time-stamped documentation.

This means landlords who are unprepared could face significantly higher legal and financial risk than ever before.
