Work is now well underway, with Sir Robert McAlpine appointed as the main contractor for the development. Piling works are now complete. Work on the foundations will continue for approximately 12 months before the concrete core rises out of the ground and the building gradually climbs to take its position at the centre of the City skyline. Great care continues to be taken to minimise noise and other disruption to The Heron’s neighbours, including a four metre high acoustic hoarding erected around the site.

Watch out for the first construction tower crane that will be lifted into place between 23 and 25 September.
