Alongside this, we’ve had a handful of reports issued to clients in readiness for upcoming exchanges and completions, making sure everything is progressing as smoothly as possible.

I’m getting everything organised ahead of my upcoming annual leave, from 13th October to 23rd October 2026. I’ll be making sure matters are prepared and the team are up to speed before I head off!

The 5 Essential Stages of Conveyancing: Post-Completion & Registration 🏠
Completion might mean the keys are handed over, but there’s still important work to do behind the scenes!
✅ Registering the new owner with HM Land Registry
✅ Registering any mortgage against the property
✅ Dealing with Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), where applicable
✅ Making sure the transaction is properly finalised
Land Registry registration can take some time, but it’s a vital final step in protecting the buyer’s ownership.

From instruction and onboarding right through to registration, there’s a lot more to conveyancing than simply handing over the keys!
