Sometimes I bring a tape measure to a project.
Sometimes I accidentally become one.

Sitting in this chair reminded me why furniture scale is never just a number on a floor plan. From here, I could check whether the coffee table was within reach, whether the chair felt generous without swallowing the corner, and whether someone could walk past without doing the sideways shuffle.

Buyers rarely ask about seat depth or clearance. They simply register whether the room looks comfortable and easy to use. If they have to solve the layout in their heads, the furniture is not doing enough.

Can I sit comfortably?
Can I reach the table?
Can someone walk past?

Simple questions.
Very revealing answers.
