This episode focused on children under 16 and the use of mobile phones in schools, as well as social media—an issue that is becoming impossible to ignore.

We are more connected than ever…
But are we actually becoming more disconnected in real life?

As a mother and educator, I see both sides—and I truly believe this is one of the biggest challenges of our time.

👉 Should mobile phones be banned in schools for under 16s?
👉 Or should we focus on educating children to use them responsibly?

There’s no easy answer.

🎙️ I’m delighted to be speaking on London One Radio this Saturday 13th June, from 9–10am.

We’ll be discussing a topic that has become impossible to ignore — the use of mobile phones and social media in schools, and the impact of screen time on children.

Globally, this is becoming a major debate. Countries like Australia are already taking action, introducing strict regulations to limit social media use for under 16s, placing responsibility on tech companies. Meanwhile, many other countries are still trying to find the right approach.

As both a mother and an educator, I see how challenging it is to strike the right balance.

Should we ban phones in schools, or should we focus on educating children on how to use them responsibly?

I would love to hear your thoughts — this is a conversation that affects us all.
