Own a UK property from overseas? These three things get mixed up all the time.
1️⃣ Short-let registration: England’s national scheme for holiday and short-term lets isn’t live yet. The government now says March 2027.
2️⃣ Long-term rental (PRS) registration: a separate system for standard lets, with its own rules and timeline.
3️⃣ Council licence: set by your local council, so what applies in one area may not apply in the next.
Different scheme, different deadline, different office to deal with.
