LOVE THIS ROAD!!!!!! I remember as a kid riding my bike past these houses trying to imagine what it would be like to live in one. Anyone that knows this area will know these iconic red brick houses, they stand the test of time in terms of appeal and I’m genuinely really excited to be selling this apartment.

This one took a funny turn from the start.

So when the listing was confirmed I ordered photo’s but as usual to catch any early interest order the sign to go up, which happened the day after the listing was confirmed.

I was in the gym the following morning and came out to 16 missed calls across two numbers.

I called the first one back and turns out it was the lady who owned the upstairs apartment, her and her partner had seen the sign go up and wanted to seize the opportunity to own the whole house. After hearing her story was moved by it and wanted to help her but the listing hadn’t even gone live yet and so said I would talk to the freeholder and get back to her.

I then called the other number and guess what, yep it was her partner. They wanted this so bad that they had both been calling.

So I called the freeholder and long story short after a bit of back and forth got them to agree that even though we would still market the property we would give them first refusal.

As it turns out they didn’t proceed due to tax reasons, I was gutted because what an amazing story that would have been and what an adventure to have been a part of.

Anyway I did find another amazing buyer that after viewing the property by torch light with her mother decided to place an offer forward and now we are under way.

Couldn’t make it happen for them but in the least have got them a great new neighbour to form a community with.

When I first approached this apartment I was concerned that the offset position on the street would leave it feeling dark, but was so surprised when I went in at how bright it was, those large windows just grab every shard of light there is and bounce it around every room.

Can’t wait to see this story through for her, dare I say it.......... pre Christmas completion 😉

I’m beginning to be a regular feature in this area, I’ve sold 5 apartments in this development over the last 3 years and so have got to know them really well.

This one was a movie and took all the patience I had not to lose my mind entirely.

I tell buyers/sellers all the time your choice in solicitor will be the decision between having the time of your life and losing the will to live.

This one was a bad choice, I’ve dealt with some challenging solicitors in my time but I now have a firm I will have nothing to do with and would rather let a deal slide than deal with them again.

Anyway, rant over my buyer who is an absoute gem is now over the line and says always from starting a new chapter.

So excited for her!!!
