☀️ What a weekend for ☀️
But what has risen quicker, 🏡 prices or 🏕 prices in Glastonbury?
Glastonbury ticket prices have increased by more than 300% in the last 20 years. Which is more than house prices but only just as they are not far behind at 296% increase in the last 20 years 😳
The average price for property in Glastonbury stood at £296,232 in June 2019. If prices continue to rise at the same rate the average price of a property in Glastonbury will be £876,846 in 20 years 👍

💡 How is Scotland’s property market currently performing for First Time Buyers?!? 💡
Scotland has performed strongly with Glasgow posting a 10.3% hike and Edinburgh 12.2% within the last year 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
More than 30,000 households have been helped to buy their First Home through Scottish Government support schemes since 2007 🏡
The schemes are for young people, who often struggle to get into the property market 👫
The Scottish Government has two home ownership schemes; Help to Buy (Scotland) and the Low Cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (LIFT) and has invested over £1.2 billion in them 🏘
The Help to Buy scheme offers an interest-free equity contribution of up to 15% against the value of a new build home. The Low Cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (LIFT) allows those new to the property market to buy a home without having to fund its entire cost, by providing an interest free equity contribution of up to 40% against its value 🧐
Great to see the the Scottish Government doing so much to help First Time Buyers buy their First Home 👍

Helen and Adam are currently renting a 1 bedroom apartment in West London and they are now expecting their first baby 👶🏻
With high prices in West London their budget will not stretch to a 2 bedroom apartment in the area they currently live 🏡
Following our post on Monday, it inspired them to to start searching for a 1 bedroom apartment with the ability to reconfigure the internal space into a 2 bedroom apartment
Helen and Adam have viewed a number of potential options this week which are within their budget with a reconfiguration angle and hope to put in an offer next week
We are really happy that our advice has inspired buyers like Helen and Adam to look at alternative ways to buy a first home which could match their requirements 😊 @ West London

With space at a premium in our city centres it’s is often hard to find the right space for you and your family 🏢
One option to consider is to search for properties which have the ability to be altered to meet your needs 🏗
An example of this is to convert a large 1 bedroom apartment into a 2 bedroom apartment by reconfiguring the existing layout without structural alterations 📐
This can be a relatively low cost way to alter a space without the same planning approval process and costs of extension work 🏘
We have found options for a number of first time buyers with young families, who have limited budgets for the area they wish to live 🏡
They have managed to buy a home, paying the price of a 1 bedroom apartment and with low cost reconfiguration work have created a perfect 2 bedroom first home for their family 👨‍👩‍👧
