Just back from a lovely few impromptu days in Looe. The forecast wasn’t great, but each day turned out glorious, we spent three afternoons on the beach and even got to swim in the sea! You never can tell what the weather is going to be like in Cornwall. As the locals say, you have to go out of your front door and just see what it’s like! There was a wonderful Punch and Judy show on the beach, performed by a very talented young man called Teddy Saberton Teddy’s Entertainments. Teddy is only 16-years’ old, hopefully he has a bright future in front of him in entertainment. It was just lovely to see the little kids enthralled by the show, they loved the Punch and Judy just as much as I did growing up in the 1970’s, it was so refreshing to see this great British tradition being preserved. We also managed to get up on the cliffs to do our regular pilgrimage to my dear mum’s memorial bench, on the stunning coastal path, cooked some fantastic meals with beautiful fresh local fish from Pengelly's Fish Shop and even caught some filming of Beyond Paradise!

Sarahs Pasty Shop… fantastic homemade pasties…. Just a 30-second stroll from Curlews …. Walk it off to the lovely sandy beach one minute in the other direction! That’s if the seagulls don’t get it first! 🐦

If you love food and you love fish 🐟, there is no better place in the UK than Looe. One of the few places where fish day boats land, you simply cannot get fresher than that. 🐟💖. Support the UK’s fishing 🎣 industry.
