Deveron Perfection

I began as an amateur photographer, and that passion soon became a full-time career in property photography. Owning a business in tough economic times meant my work absorbed all my energy, greatly reducing my recreational photography, as reflected in the infrequent blog posts over the past few years. After focusing mainly on my property photography business, last weekend I set aside time for myself and disappeared with just my camera gear, sadly venturing into the bland, uninteresting light a photographer dreads. I spend a lot of time wandering around harbours on the Moray Coast. My absolute favourite is Fraserburgh, but since it’s too far away for regular visits, I usually head to either Macduff or Buckie. Light on Glass

I absolutely love the moody atmosphere of Scotland, and this scene captures it perfectly. The classic low light, with the sun dipping toward the horizon and a storm rolling in from the north, creates a dramatic backdrop.
