🚣⏰ COUNTDOWN TO RAFT RACE DAY! 🌊
The wait is almost over! The Lossiemouth Raft Race is back on Saturday 15th August, and we can’t wait to welcome competitors, supporters and visitors for an incredible day on the waterfront.
Whether you’re taking to the water, cheering from the riverbank or simply enjoying a fantastic family day out, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of the day.

🚣 Event Timeline
08:30 – Registration & Raft Drop-Off Opens
📍 Gregory Place (East Beach) Car Park via Moray Street.
08:30–10:30
Team Registration
09:00 – FREE Public Car Park Opens
📍 St Gerardine’s School via School Brae.
💙 There is no charge for parking; however, our volunteer marshals will be collecting optional bucket donations in support of St Gerardine’s School and Elgin Round Table. Every donation helps us continue delivering community events like the Lossiemouth Raft Race.
🚶 Pedestrian access to the event is via Quarry Road. Simply follow our marshals to the seafront.
09:00 – Disabled Parking Opens
📍 Gregory Place (East Beach) Car Park via Moray Street.
♿ Disabled parking is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Where possible, please consider using the drop-off point via Moray Street, before parking in the main public car park via Church Street.

Our Event Management Team will be easy to spot in our neon orange Elgin Round Table T-shirts, with additional Round Table volunteers wearing orange hi-vis vests throughout the day.
If you have any questions or need assistance, you’ll find us:

🧡 At the Elgin Round Table Stand near the Main Entrance (where you can also order an official Lossiemouth Raft Race event T-shirt!)

🚶 Event Entrances
There are three public entrances to the event:
📍 Main Entrance – Clifton Road (next to the Police Station)
📍 Church Street Entrance – Junction of Church Street and Seatown Road
📍 Pitgaveny Street Entrance – Next to the War Memorial and Station Park
💛 At all three entrances you’ll find donation buckets and contactless card donation points.
Every contribution goes directly to Elgin Round Table and helps us continue bringing community events like the Lossiemouth Raft Race back year after year.
As a completely volunteer-run organisation, every donation makes a real difference and helps us continue investing in our local community.

🚧 Road Closures & Parking Restrictions
Please allow extra travel time when travelling to the event.
Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place from 6:00am until approximately 5:00pm.
The following roads will be closed:
🚫 Church Street – from Seatown Road to the Caravan Park, including all parking bays, lay-bys and the riverside parking at the Caravan Park.
Access will only be permitted for Seatown and Caravan Park residents. No other vehicle access or parking will be permitted within the closure.
🚫 Seatown Road – fully closed, including all parking bays.
🚫 Clifton Road – from the Police Station to the Firth Hotel, including all parking bays.
🚫 Pitgaveny Street – from the Firth Hotel to the War Memorial, including all parking bays.
🚫 Station Park Car Park will also be closed throughout the event.
Please follow the directions of our marshals, who are there to help keep everyone safe and ensure the day runs smoothly.

🍺 Alcohol Information
Please remember that alcohol must not be consumed within the public event area.
Alcohol may be purchased from local licensed premises; however, it must be consumed within those premises and must not be taken into the event area.
