A bit of preparation in advance of solar panel fitting and battery storage.

My local village hall is having a modern upgrade with solar and battery storage. This door was the ideal location for the batteries to be installed. So, some additional bracing timbers and 18mm ply were added then some fresh brilliant white satin paint to finish off this part of the project.

The original felt was torched on and was a complete nightmare to remove (1st time in 19yrs I’ve had a torched on felt roof!!!)

Anyway, after a lot a swearing and hard graft it was removed.

New 15yr felt and new fascia boards fitted at both ends (the neighbours also see the back side
Of the shed!) 😉

This one definitely had its challenges with access and space for a fat bloke to squeeze into 🫣🤷🏽

A busy few days with prep and paint at my local village hall.

The fascias were desperately in need of some TLC.

Preparation, sanding, filling, more sanding and some fresh satin black paint to the fascias. The same process was undertaken for the double entry doors with primrose off white to the door frame and Chartwell green to the double doors.

The double entry gates also had a freshen up with some semi gloss black paint.

A short section of rotten fascia was cut out and replaced with the guttering now reattached.

Today has been spent doing the following -

* Adjustment of x16 sets of internal door handles.
* Maintenance & adjustment to x2 door hinges.
* Replacement of x2 soft close kitchen cabinet hinges.
* Adjustment to washing machine.
* Washing machine cabinet door hinge adjustments.
* Adjustments to x2 toilet roll holders.
Adjustments to x2 tower holders.
* Skirting board caulking.
* Furniture moving (lots!)
* Light bulb replacements.
* Picture hanging.
* Supplying a parasol base.

I think that’s it!!🤔🤔💤💤🤣🤣

Sorry I’ve not been so on point with social media posts this week. 🫣

I’ve been back to finish off some smaller jobs, connect with some new clients for measure ups and quotes etc.

Today culminated in visiting a lovely client in Rothley for a long list of proposed jobs then ended with fitting a replacement acrylic bath panel.

These bath panels are expensive to buy (£90! 😧) and typically fragile and irritating to fit.

Skill and experience overcame my previous attempts and we have a new bath panel and a happy client.

It was only two 2ft deep holes but my word they were hard work. 🥵

4.2m of feather edge fencing installed on Wednesday to replace some old and rotten fencing for my local parish council.

Who doesn’t love some hard graft💪🏼 🛠️🪚📐 and some back pain afterwards?

Installation of concrete gravel boards and fully framed fence panels.

8 fence panel swap at my local village hall.

The old 6ft tall panels went straight to the floor and rotted. So, 300mm tall concrete gravel boards have been installed then new 5ft tall feather edge panels fitted on top.

A short 4m section to remove and replace tomorrow along with some step repairs.
