🎨 Something lovely happening locally this October!

If you’re staying with us at The Woodlands Cottages on the first weekend of October, why not pop along to the 25th Anniversary Fotherby Art Exhibition?

📍 St Mary’s Church, Fotherby
📅 Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October 2026
⏰ 11am – 4pm

The exhibition will feature original artwork for sale, along with ceramics, prints and cards, plus refreshments and a raffle.

It’s right here in our lovely village of Fotherby, making it an easy visit for guests staying at The Woodlands — and a great opportunity to support local artists and the local community. ❤️

We love being able to share events like this and show our guests that there’s always something to discover around Louth, Fotherby and the Lincolnshire Wolds.

What a day for Indy, Enzo & Alan! 🦙💍❤️

Yesterday we took three of The Woodlands alpacas along to the Wedding Fayre at The Walled Garden — and they certainly attracted plenty of attention!

The boys even dressed for the occasion, sporting their new dicky bows. 🎀🤵

We met some absolutely lovely couples and had a fantastic time talking about having The Woodlands Alpacas as part of their wedding day. We’ve already had enquiries and bookings for next year, both for our alpacas and our cottages. ❤️

🦙💍 What a lovely day at The Walled Garden Wedding Fayre!

Today we took Enzo, Alan & Indy from The Woodlands Alpacas along to the wedding fayre at The Walled Garden Walledgardenbaumberweddings— with two of the boys proudly sporting their new bow ties! 🎀🦙 They certainly looked the part!

We met so many lovely couples, families and fellow wedding suppliers, and it was great chatting to everyone about having our alpacas as part of their special day. ❤️

Even better, we’ve come away with some wedding bookings for next year, as well as new bookings for The Woodlands Cottages. 🥰

A huge thank you to everyone who came over to meet Enzo, Alan and Indi, stopped for a photo, gave them a fuss or chatted to us about weddings and stays at The Woodlands.

We’re really excited to see our wedding alpacas becoming part of some very special days in 2027. 🦙💍🥂

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful review to receive!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Anne, her husband and their lovely Cocker Spaniel to The Woodlands — and we’re delighted to say they’ve already booked another two stays with us for June and August next year! ❤️

Anne described The Woodlands as an “animal lover’s paradise” and said:

“If I could give 10 stars I would. The whole experience was faultless… The cottages are lovely and comfortable, like home from home.”

She particularly loved seeing the alpacas, rheas, goats and sheep, while her Cocker Spaniel had a fantastic time running free in our dog paddock. 🐶🦙🐐🐑

Reviews like this mean so much to Tracy and me, particularly as we’ve only just celebrated our first year at The Woodlands.

Thank you, Anne, for your lovely words and for choosing to come back and stay with us again. We can’t wait to welcome you all back! ❤️

And we couldn’t leave out Anne’s comment about Spike the cockerel, who apparently “seems to have dementia as he tends to crow most of the day” 😂🐓
