One of the things we love about the Christmas lights in Oulton Broad is that they're not simply a display.

They're a community tradition.

Residents decorate their homes, neighbours get involved, visitors come to enjoy the spectacle – and money is raised for charity along the way. ❤️

It's exactly the sort of thing we love about living here.

It's a cold December afternoon.

You've spent the day walking the dog along the Suffolk coast.

You've got rosy cheeks, muddy boots and a very happy dog.

Back at The Copse, the kettle goes on.

You shower. Change. Pour a drink.

Then, as darkness falls, you head out to see the Christmas lights of Christmas Lane and Noel Road. 🎄

Lights everywhere.

Decorated houses.

People wandering around enjoying the spectacle.

And somewhere along the way you remember...

You don't actually have to be rushing anywhere.

Because you're on holiday. ❤️

It's World Appreciation Day today so we wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of our followers and for those who take the time to interact with our content.

We have been away this weekend, visiting friends and family, celebrating birthdays.

The change of scenery, and joy of seeing everyone was just what we needed to refill our tanks.

Everyone needs a break sometimes even if you really love your job!

We.cannot tell you how happy we are to be able to share this video with you.

Everyone who has stayed with us and those who regularly follow our content knows we love dogs, especially our own. Our lives revolve around them.

On Sunday Bella was very ill. She wasn't eating or drinking and was barely moving. Given her age and her chemo drugs we really thought it might be the end, but after a trip to the vets, some antibiotics, pain meds and lots of rest we were able to all get out onto the beach together again this morning!
