As Jean starts to wind down after an incredible 22 years of owning and running Tarrants Property Services, we celebrate everything she has achieved over the years.

Jean didn’t just own Tarrants — she built the business up from the ground and truly brought it to life, making it her own with style, dedication, and a rule book that was never to be broken, nor lessons ever forgotten.

Some know her simply as Jean, others as Mrs Canham… but to many she’ll always be remembered as the “Iron Lady of Lettings” with a heart of gold. ❤️

This Friday marks Jean’s official retirement after 22 years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to the business she built and the people she helped along the way. Now it’s finally time for her to enjoy the life she has spent so many years planning and working so hard for.

Jean will be hugely missed by landlords, tenants, contractors, and the whole team, with the business continuing to operate as usual following the strong foundations Jean has built over the last 22 years.

If you’re passing by this week, feel free to pop down a little earlier and wish Jean well on her next adventure. 🥂✨

The Renters’ Rights Act 2025 is set to reshape the private rented sector from 1 May 2026, and the new roadmap has finally landed.

Here’s what’s around the corner:
🔹 Section 21 abolished
🔹 All tenancies move to periodic
🔹 Rent in advance capped
🔹 Ban on rental bidding
🔹 Annual rent increases only via Section 13
🔹 Tenants gain the right to request pets
…and that’s just Phase 1. A new PRS Database, Landlord Ombudsman, and Decent Homes Standard are all rolling out next.

Includes advertising, accompanied viewings, full tenant referencing, credit checks, tenancy agreement, Schedule of Condition with photos, and collection of first month’s rent & deposit.

• 3 Bed Detached – £600 + VAT
• 4 Bed Property (up to semi) – £650 + VAT
• 4 Bed Detached – £700 + VAT
Plus Deposit Protection Scheme Fee – £25 + VAT (where applicable)
