We might be biased… but Mike is particularly biased when it comes to September in Lyme.

The summer crowds start to disappear, there’s a little more room to wander and you can still get those beautiful blue-sky days that make you wonder why everyone went home.

So, why does Mike reckon September might just be the best month to visit Lyme? We’ll let him explain.

September days in Lyme look a little something like this…🌊

Coffee in town, a wander along the coast, somewhere good for lunch, a potter through the quieter streets and a drink to finish.

The skies might be a little softer and the jumpers might be making their way back out, but Lyme doesn’t lose any of its charm when summer ends. If anything, we think there’s something rather lovely about having a little more of it to yourself.

From Reading Festival to Lyme Regis. 🎶🌊

Mike’s connection to the music industry means he spends a lot of time meeting people who live and work in London — and one thing that often surprises them? Just how easy it is to get down here.

You can leave London and be in Lyme Regis in around 2 hours 15 to 2 hours 30. No car needed.

Finish work, jump on the train and swap the city for sea air, independent restaurants, coastal walks and a weekend that feels a lot further away than it actually is.

September in Lyme just hits differently. 🌊

The summer rush starts to slow, the beaches get a little quieter, but there’s still plenty of life in town and, if we’re lucky, a fair bit of sunshine left too.

August Bank Holiday in Lyme. This is where we'd like to be.🌊 🌞
