We have been lucky enough to get sightings of pied fly catchers nesting in the boxes by the river at Ochr y Rhiw for the last 3 years. Ynys- Hir is a good outing when staying. Book at https://www.holidaycottages.co.uk/cottage/oc-22595-ochr-y-rhiw

This time of year the oak woodlands RSPB Ynys-hir are blessed with the arrival and breeding activities of the iconic Pied Fly Catcher. Once the leaves on the oaks are fully open though spotting them for photographs can prove quite a challenge.

This year you can hire a slot in our Pop-Up Photography Hide and have the opportunity for some wonderful close encounters of these birds plus other woodland wildlife.
