Gurkha Workforces is recruiting for a Labour Assistant to join a busy workshop environment in the Ashford area.
π Location: Ashford, Kent
π· Pay: Β£14.00 per hour
π
Full-time β Monday to Friday
β° 40 hours per week
π Start: As soon as possible
π Applicants will need their own transport due to the location and limited public transport options.
π· About the Role
You will be supporting the workshop team with the day-to-day preparation and movement of materials and helping to keep the workshop organised, clean and safe.
βοΈ Preparing and handling materials for production
βοΈ Assisting with preparation of substrates and materials for finishing
βοΈ Supporting paintwork preparation and finishing processes
βοΈ Loading and unloading materials and finished products
βοΈ Organising and maintaining workstations
βοΈ Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe
βοΈ Checking and organising stock and materials
βοΈ Following health & safety procedures
βοΈ Supporting the wider workshop team with general duties
βοΈ Following instructions from the Workshop Manager
β What Weβre Looking For
βοΈ Reliable, hardworking and punctual
βοΈ Physically fit and comfortable standing, lifting and moving materials
βοΈ Able to follow instructions carefully
βοΈ Good attention to detail
βοΈ Positive attitude and willingness to learn
βοΈ Comfortable working as part of a team
βοΈ Previous workshop, manufacturing, construction or labouring experience is desirable but not essential
βοΈ Own transport is required
π§βπ Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
π° EARNINGS
Β£14.00 per hour
Monday to Friday
Overtime available
Approx. Β£29,120 per year
