⭐SFI26 update⭐

This week, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) published the final SFI26 scheme documents, including the rules, terms and conditions and requirements for all 71 actions.

Key dates and funding details include:

▪️Window 1 opens on 30 June for small farms and farms without an existing ELM revenue agreement, with up to £60 million available

▪️Any unallocated funding will be carried into Window 2

▪️Window 2 is expected to open to all farmers and land managers in September

Defra is also developing new functionality for those with expiring Mid Tier, HLS or SFI23 agreements, allowing them to apply for affected land before the current agreement ends. This is expected to be available in September.

As each farm business can have only one SFI26 agreement, applicants should consider carefully which window is best for them.
