Mould in your bathroom caused by lack of ventilation. We have an in house electrician who can upgrade or replace your bathroom extractor fan. We also clean all mould with industrial strength paracetic acid and provide a clean ceiling again.

With freezing conditions comes 'spalling'. This occurs when your bricks have absorbed water through the year and expand under the cold weather conditions. The brick faces pop off and leave a soft chalky face which is extremely porous.
When bricks spall they lose their defense against damp and moisture leeching into your home.
We recommend having a soakaway installed to the perimeter of your home. Feel free to get in touch and we'll see if you need one.

Happy new year to all of our clients and colleagues. Massive year for everyone in damp - The social housing bill on damp properties will be rolled out to private landlords too. Landlords will have a responsibility to ensure tenants aren't living in damp and mouldy homes within a set timeframe.

Rainy season is here. Make sure all mortar and bricks are where they should be. Cracks and gaps can allow water to ingress during heavy rain. Once moisture gets inside its a totally different job to filling gaps with lime mortar.

Batten down the hatches - its going to bounce down.

We've been spoiled of late with the lovely dry summer we have had but that is going to come to a halt.

Now is the time that any missing tiles, mortar in your brickwork, below ground vents are going to make themselves known.

Water ingress fixed from the outside is a lot cheaper and less disruptive than fixing it from the inside via membranes and high impact lime plaster.

If you do notice internal damp when it's been raining don't worry, we can usually sort the problem out without coming inside. Within reason!

Just completed a cellar conversion. We converted it from a dark dank hole into a room that can now be used for storing things, a games room, a laundry room etc
We fit a special cellar PIV unit to ensure clean fresh air is wafted around and mould is stopped in its tracks. For info on our cellar conversions just get in touch.
