£70,000 raised in private finance

Our latest investor had £70k sitting idle in an account, that gave her 2.1% interest for the year just gone...

With the possibility of interest rates dropping, she got in touch to see how investing with us works and if we were a right fit

How did the process go?

- We had a brew and a chat to see if we were a right fit
- Due diligence was done and Loan Agreements were signed
- Funds were transferred

At the end of the agreed loan term (In this case 12 months), the Investors capital will be paid back with a nice chunk of interest on top (In this case x4 what she previously was given)

Why do people choose to invest with us?

- It’s a passive, fixed return. Investors get to enjoy the benefits of property investing without any of the hassle that comes with it (Finding deals, dealing with solicitors and trades…)

An email from my bank last week, very kindly telling me that the interest on my savings is dropping - due to inflation easing and a likely base rate cut in March

When the base rate drops:
• Money becomes cheaper to borrow = Good news for investors
• Savings rates fall = Not so good for savers

Over the past week I’ve spoken with 3 separate people, all with savings in the bank earning rates that are equal to or below inflation.

What this means 📉
Your buyer power is decreasing = Your money buys less than it used to

More people (Including the 3 I spoke with) are looking at alternatives to leaving their large sums in low-interest accounts.
