Valley Replacement Completed 🔨🏠
Another valley replacement completed and brought back up to a fully watertight standard.
The existing valley had split and become heavily blocked with moss, debris and dirt, preventing water from flowing away correctly. This was causing water to back up and get underneath the roofing materials, leading to water ingress.

We removed the damaged and blocked valley, cleared and prepared the area, and installed a new valley system with a clear and secure route for rainwater to drain away.

The new valley is now fully watertight, secure and free-flowing, providing the roof with the protection it needs for years to come. ✅

Another Downpipe Repair & Replacement 🔧🏠
This one had unfortunately been installed incorrectly in the first place. The bends had been fitted backwards, and the downpipe hadn’t been properly secured to the wall.
Over time, this put unnecessary strain on the joints and fixings, eventually causing the pipe to break away and fall down.

I removed the damaged section, installed a new downpipe with the bends correctly positioned, and securely fixed everything back to the wall. The old pipe and all waste were also taken away and disposed of, leaving the area clean and tidy. ✅

It’s always worth getting these things checked properly, as a poorly fitted downpipe can lead to leaks, damage to brickwork and further problems down the line.

🚨 Another day, another unexpected discovery! 🏠🔧
What looked like a small drainage issue turned out to be the cause of a leak in the bedroom.

As you can see from the photos, the drainage area had become heavily blocked with dirt, debris, moss and general build-up, preventing water from draining away properly. Over time, this allowed water to find its way into the property and ultimately caused the leak below.

A good reminder that seemingly minor maintenance issues can quickly turn into bigger problems if left unchecked.

✅ Potential further damage prevented

Regular inspections and keeping drainage points clear can save a lot of hassle and expense further down the line!

Bad guttering? 🚨
These photos show some of the issues we’ve come across with this guttering — poor joints, leaking sections, damaged downpipes and water running where it shouldn’t.

Badly fitted or neglected guttering can lead to damp, staining, damaged brickwork and much bigger repair bills if left untreated.

✨ BEFORE & AFTER ✨
Another exterior transformation completed! 🏡✨

For this project, I scraped, sanded and painted the exterior window cills and lower-roof wooden fascia boards, as well as replacing the lower-roof guttering.

I also replaced 2 old cast-iron downpipes with new PVC downpipes, including a new hopper. 🔧

A fresh finish and some maintenance to help keep the property looking its best. 👌🎨
