Trying to stick to a budget but don't want to compromise on the final look?

Not to worry, these days you can get most items to match the style you're after, without draining your budget.

Whilst there's nothing quite like finding a bargain, it's also important to make sure you're not compromising on quality. Cheaper options might not only impact the overall look, but they can also wear out sooner, meaning that in the long run, it may not be much of a bargain after all.

The key is knowing which items you can compromise on and which are worth investing in.

These mood boards were put together on very different budgets - one £2,000 cheaper than the other, but both still sticking to the original design brief. Proof that great style doesn’t always have to come with a big price tag.

Amazing transformation!

Sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest difference.

This hallway had a really large ugly electrics door that dominated the landing. A plan was made to install a seemless integrated push door to hide it and bring less attention. Together with upgraded doors, the space now looks fabulous!

Every small change can help completely revamp a space.

The largely forgotten space when designing.

Everyone focuses so much on their kitchen, lounge or bedrooms that when it comes to the hallway, it's finished with whichever paint there's leftover.

It's important to remember that the hallway creates a first and last impression. While often considered a mere transitional area, a well-designed hallway can increase a home’s appeal and value, so it's worth getting it right.

So pleased with the before and after of this clients home. Everything was carefully considered and the outcome is brilliant.

This was a really fun one!

Colour isn't for everyone, but adding colour to a space can alter the mood and atmosphere, making it more vibrant and inviting or creating a cozy, relaxing environment. Colour adds personality and style, can influence psychological well-being, and affect how spacious or intimate a room feels. Different colours can encourage different feelings, from high-energy social interactions to calm relaxation.

Can you mix different tiles in a bathroom?

Absolutely! Combining tile types that contrast in colour, shape or style adds interest and creates harmony in a bathroom. Having variety is what keeps your design visually interesting. The only limit is your imagination!

White kitchens. There's a reason they are so popular. They're bright, airy and don't require a lot of stressful colour decisions when decorating...because literally everything is white! There are a few factors that you do have to be kept in mind to avoid the space looking boring:

🤍 Texture - this is very important when keeping colours to a minimum.
🤍 A focal point - whether it's a large clock or a stand out island, a focal point adds interest.
🤍 Contrast your cabinets - helps bring dimension and personality.
🤍 Bring in greenery - this adds natural beauty and serenity to the room.
🤍 Put some pattern on your floor - creating interest and depth.

Whilst there's still probably a few more things to consider, keep these in mind and you'll be well on your way to a new fresh, gorgeous space.

This one definitely deserves a before and after!

When we first entered the property, there wasn't much more than brick and dust. After sitting down with the client, we came up with a plan for the space and the outcome is a gorgeous shabby chic fashion boutique!

My goal when meeting with clients is for them to get as much as they can for their unique space.

This particular client had difficulty with their utility room. The space was a bit awkward, with the very small room having 2 different doorways! The client, who is a lover of ironing (I know, I didn't know these people existed either!), expressed wishes to have a separate space for their ironing board to be constantly out. We worked with the space and configured where everything would fit best. We then worked with colours that create a fresh, calming atmosphere.
