Throwback to the day we opened St Catherine's Wood to the public. 🌳

We were so excited to finally show off what we'd created, a green space that Manchester city centre deserves. Running alongside the River Irk, there's fully accessible paths lined with gabion walling, that leads to an elevated plateau, via stepped, circular walkways and open spaces for relaxation and small events. And of course, the lush and peaceful wooded area.

We were blown away by how many people turned up to enjoy the park with their families, building bug hotels, joining in workshops, and making the most of the new space. It was such an amazing day. 💚

The best bit of Pride in the Park? The pups of pride 🐾🌈

Angel Meadow was visited by happy pups soaking up the sunshine, the atmosphere and more attention than they knew what to do with.

We only wish we could make this a weekly thing 🐶💛

Ice cream, cookies, doughnuts and sunshine on the terrace 🍨🍩

Local artisan bakers, , brought the treats, our residents brought the appetite, and the rest wrote itself.

This resident treat was mega moment, just one of the many surprises they plan for our community, and more coming soon 👀

We recently gave St Catherine's Wood a new lease of life as the City's newest park. Here's 5 facts about the park you might not know...

#1 It's home to rare trees 🌳
The park includes three endangered Manchester Poplar trees, plus over 60 new semi-mature trees and a layered planting scheme designed to support birds, insects and mammals.

#2 It has real historical roots 🌉
The original bridge over the River Irk on Collyhurst Road has been retained, now fitted with a Corten (weathered steel) gate stencilled with a leaf design. Information boards on-site tell the story of the "Impossible Bridge" (made famous by L.S. Lowry) and the church that gave the wood its name.

#3 It follows a "Wild Urbanism" design approach 🌱
Accessible paths, gabion walling and stepped walkways wind up to an elevated plateau, blending natural biodiversity with urban living. BAM Nuttall built it, Planit designed the landscape, and it'll be managed long-term by .

#4 Built for more than just walking through 🧘
As well as woodland paths, the park includes open spaces designed for relaxation and small community events.

#5 It's phase one of something much bigger 🌿
The park kicks off 113 acres of interconnected green space that will eventually thread through the whole Victoria North regeneration programme (15,000+ homes over the next decade).

St Catherine's Wood is now open 🌳🥳

We transformed an underused and largely unknown wooded area in Manchester's newest city centre park. It has sprouted back into life and this is just the beginning. Winding paths, elevated viewpoints and rare Manchester Poplar trees sit alongside the River Irk, all part of our Wild Urbanism approach to green space.

This is phase one of 113 acres of connected parkland coming to Victoria North. The green heart of our neighbourhood starts here.

To celebrate, we're hosting Sound & Silence 🧘 — a calming neighbourhood event with Wellness Hub, set amongst the peaceful surroundings of the Wood. Unwind with a guided sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls and gentle meditation, bring a mat or blanket and get comfortable beneath the trees. Open to residents and the local neighbourhood, spaces are limited so booking is essential.

Angel Meadow was the place to be as Manchester turned out in full force to celebrate the end of Pride Month. A full day of local independents, live music, dancing, good food and even better company... right on Red Bank's doorstep.

Massive thanks to for putting on a brilliant free community event, and to everyone who came down to make it such a colourful, welcoming afternoon. This is what neighbourhood spirit looks like.

We invited the wonderful to Red Bank to give our residents a fragrance masterclass 🧑‍🎓🌸

They learned all about scent layering, fragrance profiles and finding a personal, signature scent. It was a relaxed evening of testing fragrances, learning something new and bringing the community together.
