Barnabus Barnabus is a Christian Homeless Charity based in Manchester with a support centre and support office in Manchester city centre.

Our support workers help people find shelter, assist with benefits, housing ,employment and rehabilitation. Barnabus is a Christian Homeless Charity in Manchester with a support centre, support workers and NHS health workers in conjunction with The Urban Village Medical Practice. We also have our own Resettlement Tenancy Scheme empowering people with lived experience of homelessness into a home. W

e offer a lifeline to homeless and vulnerable people, providing hope and opportunities for transformation. We offer a strong network of support and work closely with other specialist agencies to cover all aspects of need. We don't believe anyone should be without a home. Our aim is to release people from poverty, fear and oppression, empowering people to improve and rebuild their lives in a sustainable way. A huge Thank You to NSL for their outstanding support of Barnabus and for becoming a member of our Foundations Business Network.

Over the last four years, NSL has supported our work in a number of ways. In the past 12 months alone, their team has raised more than £4,000 through fundraising events including the Dragon Boat Festival and our Gala Dinner. Staff members also regularly volunteer at our Beacon Centre, with volunteers giving their time each week to support people experiencing homelessness.

NSL has also helped create lasting change through employment, providing job opportunities to more than 10 Barnabus service users over the last few years. For many people rebuilding their lives after homelessness, employment is a vital step towards independence and stability.

Their commitment to volunteering, fundraising and creating opportunities has made a real difference to the people we support. Thank you, NSL, for being such a valued partner.

A huge thank you to Bupa for their generous donation which has enabled us to transform the gardens at our supported housing properties.

This project has done much more than improve our outdoor spaces. It has provided the people we support with the opportunity to get involved in redesigning and maintaining the gardens, helping them develop valuable gardening skills and take pride in their environment.

The refreshed gardens now offer welcoming spaces where our residents can enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors.

We are incredibly grateful for Bupa's support in making this possible and helping us create positive opportunities for the people we work with 💛

A big thank you to Bentley for their generous donation, which has enabled us to launch cooking classes with our supported housing residents.

In our first session, clients prepared biryani and chicken soup, while also practising their English by explaining the ingredients they used and how they cooked each dish.

These sessions provide a great opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills and bring people together.
