Watch how removing one dead tree completely changed the feel of our garden and is our next step in shifting the energy in our garden, home and office.
Part 5 of my month long declutter project to transforming our office into a home office I actually want to work in.
Following on from my recent conversation with Corrina she helped me to see the impact of having a dead tree outside our home office ... Decluttering isn't just about what’s inside your space but outside too.
Our dead pear tree had reached the end of its life, and it was having a huge impact on how our garden felt. Even the birds had stopped visiting the bird feeder hanging on the dead tree!
Rather than tackling the whole job at once, we broke it down into small, manageable steps as I would use with my professional decluttering and organising clients.
A bit at a time...
One decision at a time...
Each phase seeing and feeling the progress every step of the way
Whether you're clearing a garden, decluttering a room, or organising your home, progress comes from starting small, breaking the process into small manageable tasks and not having to complete it all in one day.
Decluttering to 'fit in' to every day busy family life. The result? A calmer, clearer space that feels better from the house looking out as well as when we're in the garden too!
What could go in the garden recycling when in the recycling, what needed storing temporarily for the days leading up to the tip trip, as well as the tip trip itself. It's exactly the same when decluttering your home.
During in-person sessions, I help clients move items out of the space as we go and take a car load of donations and/or recycling away with me.
For virtual clients, we create a realistic disposal plan so donations, recycling and unwanted items don't become a new pile of clutter waiting to be dealt with.
Decluttering doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to keep moving forward.
