Another property successfully surveyed and kept fully compliant! 📋✅

We recently completed a comprehensive, non-destructive Asbestos Management Survey for the team at Harmony Homecare at their commercial premises on Stanley Street in Tyldesley.

The two-story property features a mix of traditional and modern spaces—including offices, storage areas, a workshop, and a canteen. Our mission was to locate any potential Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) to ensure their team can go about their day-to-day operations safely and with total peace of mind.

🔍 The Results:

After careful site inspections and laboratory analysis of suspected items (including textured ceiling coatings, rope textiles, and roof felt), we are pleased to report NO asbestos was detected (N.A.D.I.S)!

A clean bill of health means the property now has a fully updated, compliant Asbestos Register to meet all HSE Regulation 4 guidelines.

While a Management Survey is the essential first step to keep your everyday operations safe and lawful, it doesn't cover building works. If you plan any structural upgrades, layout changes, or future renovation projects, you are legally required to upgrade to a fully intrusive Refurbishment & Demolition Survey before any tools touch the fabric of the building.

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of visiting a lovely couple in Atherton who are currently in the process of upgrading their home! 🏡

As you can see in image one and the close-up in image two the homeowners correctly identified that their ceilings have a textured coating or commonly known as Artex.

Being safety-conscious renovators, they made the smart move to get the ceiling tested for asbestos before starting any major works. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to older textured finishes!
