Something a little different is coming to the No.8 First Street lobby next Thursday, 25th June.

are bringing their First Street Office Pop Up to the building from 11am to 3pm, and it's well worth heading down.

Not your average lunch break.

A couple of weeks ago, a group of occupiers from across the First Street estate suited up, headed to the rooftop, and met the bees, organised by and hosted by

No.8 First Street is home to a working rooftop apiary, and as part of an exclusive Meet the Bees workshop, occupiers and the wider community got a proper introduction. Beekeeping suits on, gloves on, and up close with the hives. They learned about urban beekeeping, the role bees play in the city's ecosystem, and handled honeycomb directly from the colony.

The smiles in the suits say it all.

It's one of those experiences that's genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else. And that's the point. The rooftop apiary is part of a wider commitment to sustainability at First Street, supporting urban biodiversity and local pollination right in the heart of Manchester city centre.

We're proud to be part of a neighbourhood that makes space for moments like this. Events that bring people together, connect them to something beyond their working day, and demonstrate that a great workplace can mean so much more than a great building.

On Thursday 18th June we're hosting a lunchtime talk on men's health and prostate cancer, right here at No.8. It's free and it's open to everyone.

Prostate cancer affects one in eight men in the UK, which means most of us know someone it has touched. Whether you want to feel more informed about your own health or be better placed to support the people around you, this is a session worth showing up for.
