Anyway… the “extension” is down. Don’t even know if we can call it an extension to be honest, it was built that badly 😬😂

Buying a leasehold property has been one big headache 🤯

We thought this one would be straight forward

Then the paperwork starts.

Missing documents.
Ground rent queries.
Solicitors waiting on replies.
Everyone chasing everyone else.

Weeks have disappear without anything actually happening.

It’s easy to look at property on Instagram and think every deal flies through. The reality is, sometimes you’re sat refreshing your emails wondering if anything has moved.

It’s frustrating but it’s all part of the game.

Hopefully we’ll get this one over the line soon because we’ve got a full refurb ready to go. 💪

£123.5k on a property we’d not even seen 😱😱😱

Would I recommend doing it? Probably not 🤣

But sometimes you’ve got to back yourself and make a decision.

We’ve seen it now and the real work starts.

I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and it made me realise something…

I had no assets.

Everything I owned was a liability.

I wasn’t obsessed with property overnight, but it definitely changed the way I looked at money and what I wanted for the future.

I started talking to Ant about it and over time those conversations turned into action.

A few years later we’ve bought houses, renovated properties and built a business together.

Mad really, because it all started with a book making me question whether there was another way.

Biggest challenge???

TIME!!! ⏰⏰⏰

Honestly, it’s not finding deals or doing refurbs.

It’s trying to build a business whilst still being a husband, a dad, working a full time job and keeping everyone happy.

There just never seems to be enough hours in the day.

We’re figuring it out as we go, same as everything else. 👊🏻

At the end of the day, we’re just two dads giving it our best shot 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
