Client had a quote for £6-7K to have the lead work in the valley gutters redone.

Might be the correct solution, but clearing the blocked gutters, drains to internal roof gutter and covering the drains with a mesh to protect against blockages might save time, disruption and a whole lot of cash.

Its a small fee for peace of mind after a roofers finished their work and before the scaffold's come down.

This is the drain for two large roofs leading to an internal (and open!) box gutter that runs through the attic spaces.

First image shows how chicken wire has been used as a grille to prevent debris falling in. The second image shows how this has come away.

If this open internal gutter gets clogged with 'little gifts' from the seagulls, you've got a nasty problem.

Need to cap that vent pipe though... A dead seagull was found blocking this, resulting in three flat's toilet waste backing up.
