Good morning and happy friday π»
A little bio.
Welcome to Indy Bears by Grandma π.
This is the sister page to Stitched Up XCX / junk and disorderly to show off and introduce my bears & friends, plus 'Ted & Indy ' items such as little purses. Bags and anything that has their little label on π.
I started making bears back in February 2025, my attempt was not the best, as the pattern was very basic, and turned out 'not very bearlike'.
I didn't want to give up after my first go, i wanted to make a bear that indy would keep till she was a grown up , a bear that Grandma had made her π
So, From then, I looked for different and better patterns , alternative ways to sew, how to add movable limbs, eyes, little noses ect.
I followed bear makers & artisan pages, looked into fabrics, fillings, joints, eyes, noses, different tools to help me, watching endless videos on YouTube, YouTube ect.
My first bear i was proud of, I named 'indy Boo Bear ' and she now lives in indys bedroom here π
I met a fantastic lady thru the headquarters, who has gave me so much help, advice, and some amazing patterns (thank-you β€οΈ )
I found my favourite pattern from what id been given and created a beautiful little bear.
So far, ive made lots of bears, some wearing outfits & accessories, elephants, little mice, a even a little seagull π.
They all have a little indy bear by grandma / Ted & indy labels.
My little creations are for **not suitable for under 14 years old**, due to movable parts, glass eyes, accessories ect.
When you adopt a bear ,they are wrapped in tissue paper, a little adoption paper with envelope, in a little gift bag ready to go to off their new home and enjoy a new happy life π
Thank-you for reading and following my adventure making bears
