"Rose Cottage is a fabulous holiday cottage in every respect."
The owners have done a great job of restoring the property, it is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. There were so many lovely touches, such as the welcome pack, toiletries, lovely linen and towels and lots of books, magazines and games to keep you occupied. The owners have thought of everything you could need in a holiday home. There is a well equipped kitchen and utility room and plenty of information on places to visit and where to eat. The outside spaces are ideal with comfortable outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Rose Cottage is ideally situated for the park and town centre and is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area.

As we were staying in February, everyone loved the underfloor heating. We especially appreciated the good communication from the owner, who was quick to respond to small queries (and who provided comprehensive directions to find the property). Nice welcoming touches for when we arrived made it feel like a special stay. The property is well located for an easy walk into Matlock town centre, but also very well situated for getting out onto footpaths up to Riber Castle and into Lumsdale. We had wondered whether we'd be able to get two cars into the driveway, but this was no issue at all - two estate cars fitted in nicely behind the gates.
Rose Cottage - Rose Cottage is a charming, stone-built cottage settled into the bustling town of Matlock, Derbyshire. Close to National Park. Near shop, pub, and river. Matlock Bath 1.8 miles; Peak District National Park 5 miles, Bakewell 8.7 miles.
