The day of days is almost upon us again!! Right in our village & just a walk from

Yes, it’s the annual WORLD HEN RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS - SATURDAY 2nd AUGUST 2025, held at the home of hen racing.. The Barley Mow!!! 🐓🏆😎😊

It’s a free, family friendly event, with all day BBQ (no chicken, obviously) loads of quality ales (cask and keg) from brewery, live music after the final, and loads of other fun stuff going off…

Will you be feeling clucky? 😊

Hen registration from midday

For more details call the pub… but please remember that the hens are not encouraged to run, in any way.. it’s just a bit of fun..the welfare of the hens is paramount..they are kept in a cool safe place during the day…ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE CARPARK on hen racing day….
