Experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator Required
I am looking for an experienced, highly organised bookkeeper to support a growing group of property, hospitality and development businesses.
This is not a basic data-entry role. I need someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration across multiple companies and keep everything accurate, current and properly prepared for the accountants.
The role will include:
* full bookkeeping across multiple limited companies
* bank and credit-card reconciliation
* VAT records and VAT return preparation
* Dext management, including reviewing, coding and matching receipts/invoices
* maintaining accurate supplier and purchase records
* identifying missing documentation and keeping records audit-ready
* preparing information for Corporation Tax and year-end accounts
* preparing and collating information required for capital allowance claims
* maintaining clear records of inter-company transactions, director transactions and business expenditure
* monitoring deadlines and ensuring nothing is missed
* handling HMRC correspondence and updates, identifying what requires action, keeping a clear record of deadlines and passing relevant letters/information to the accountants promptly
* liaising directly with accountants where required
* maintaining one clear stream of financial/admin communication rather than allowing issues to become fragmented across different people
* producing concise, practical updates and a clear list of anything that genuinely requires my input
Experience with Dext and QuickBooks is essential, along with a strong understanding of VAT and bookkeeping for property and/or hospitality businesses.
You must be comfortable dealing with several businesses simultaneously, able to work independently, and confident enough to identify problems and chase missing information rather than simply process what is put in front of you.
I am looking for someone reliable, proactive and commercially aware who can become a long-term part of the finance function as the group continues to grow.
